Open Question: Where are some nice remote beaches to go to over Spring Break in Texas?

My friends and I are wanting to make a trip to the beach over spring break in 2011. We were looking at Galveston, because it is the nearest area to us that we could think of. We stay in the Tyler area. The problem is, parents are worried about the crazy college kids that will be there in Galveston and would prefer us to go somewhere less populated over spring break.
